Company
history
- 1787 Sieur Hodan
built the Pont Crocket Watermill.
- 1836 The Count of Ribes added a second wheel
to the first one.
- 1864 Mr Alphen established a cutlery on the same site.
- 1888 Mr Emile LOUYOT established his company in Paris.
- 1893 The French Metal Company (S.F.M) bought
Alphen's Company.
- 1895 Louyot bought the SFM.
- 1917 the Bornel factory extanguished Rue Gambetta and
Rue Jeanne d'Arc.
- 1926 the melting unit moved opposite Bornel Station
(Where it still is.).
- 1929 the rolling mill moved next to the melting unit
in two building.
- 1953 were built a laboratory and some offices.
- 1957 Louyot merged with Comptoir Lyon Alemand
to create CLAL.
- 1967 a hot rolling unit is built.
- 1969 a shearing unit is built.
- 1984 the sales offices moved from Paris to Bornel.
- 1988 the remaining drawing unit moved to the new site
opposite the station. |
